Terms and Conditions:

Ordinary Member

(a) Any Registered Estate Agent in possession of a valid Authority To Practice certificate issued by BOVAEP shall, upon successful application, be a member of the Institute.

(b) Any ordinary member as defined under Article 8.3.1 of the Constitution of Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents shall enjoy all privileges of membership and shall have the right to attend and vote at any AGM, EGM or at any other meetings and shall be eligible to offer themselves for election to the BOD, subject to Article 13 of the Constitution of Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents.

8.3 Classification of Membership

8.3.1 Members in Benefits

(a) Any member who has paid the subscription for the current year shall be classified as Member in Benefits.

(b) Only Members in Benefits have the right to hold office, attend meetings and vote at such meetings.

ARTICLE 13 ELIGIBILITY TO BE MEMBERS OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS  of the Constitution of Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents

13.1 Any Ordinary or PEA Member in Benefit for a period of not less than one (1) year shall be eligible to be nominated for election as a member of the BOD.

13.2 Any Ordinary Member who is an active member and has served as a Board of Director for not less one (1) full term of 2 years and practicing estate agency shall be eligible to be nominated for the following Executive Board positions:

13.2.1 Vice President

13.2.2 Secretary General

13.2.3 Treasurer

13.2.4 President Elect

13.3 President Elect

A nominee for the President Elect position shall have served in the Executive Board for one (1) full term before being nominated for the President Elect Chair for election.
